I-70 Eastbound On-Ramp Closure at Midway Rescheduled

BOONE COUNTY – Resurfacing work on Interstate 70 that was set to close the I-70 eastbound on-ramp at Midway from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. tonight and Tuesday night has been rescheduled due to weather delays last week.

The resurfacing work will now close the I-70 eastbound on-ramp at Midway from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19 and Monday, July 24. One lane will also be closed on eastbound I-70 near Midway during the work. The reason there is a gap between dates is because contractors are not allowed lane closures on Thursday and Friday due to increased traffic on I-70 as a result of the Show Me State Games.

Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route during the work. Message boards are in place in the area to notify drivers of the closure. MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists during the work.

The work is part of the I-70 resurfacing project in Boone County from the Missouri River Bridge near Rocheport to the Lake of the Woods near Columbia. Paving is expected to continue into early fall.
