Crews Will Close Multiple Ramps and Lanes on northbound I-29 Beginning July 23 at 7 p.m.

KANSAS CITY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be closing the following ramps as well as three lanes of northbound Interstate 29 from 112th Street to Route D beginning Sunday, July 23, at 7 p.m. through Monday, July 24, at 6 a.m. Motorists are encouraged to use the posted detour which will be northbound I-29 to Mexico City Avenue and back onto southbound I-29 to Route D into the Kansas City Airport.

Ramps to be impacted:

  • Northbound I-29 to westbound Route D into the airport (Flyover Bridge)
  • Northbound I-29 to Route D
  • 112th Street on ramp to northbound I-29

The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
