KEARNEY STREET RAMP TO SOUTHBOUND ROUTE 65 CLOSED WEDNESDAY NIGHT, JULY 26
WHAT: Kearney Street ramp to southbound Route 65 CLOSED for pavement grinding (smoothing)
WHEN: 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, until 6 a.m. Thursday, July 27
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Drivers will not be able to use the ramp during the work. The ramp will be open during daytime hours.
(Weather or construction delays could alter the work schedule.)
Project Summary:
- Rebuild outside two lanes in both directions of Route 65 between Kearney Street and Sunshine Street
- Route 65 CLOSED in segments (between interchanges) in one direction at a time from week of July 10 until first of September
- Southbound closings start on July 10 with completion by late July
- Southbound closed between Kearney and Division Streets week of July 10 – COMPLETED
- Southbound closed between Division Street and Chestnut Expressway week of July 17 -- COMPLETED
- Southbound closed between Chestnut Expressway and Sunshine Street week of July 24
- Northbound closings start on August 7 with completion by early September
- Northbound closed between Sunshine Street and Chestnut Expressway week of August 7
- Northbound closed between Chestnut Expressway and Division Street week of August 14
- Northbound closed between Division Street and Kearney Street week of August 21
- Rebuild or repair interchange ramps
- Upgrade guardrail
- Rebuild outside shoulders
- Prime Contractor: Millstone Weber, LLC of St. Charles, Mo.
- Completion Date: November 2017
- Total Project Cost: $7.9 million
