TRAFFIC ALERT

Expect Lane Closings on Rt 54 for Repair of Bridge Deck Over MNA Railroad in Nevada July 31-August 2

Nevada – Drivers should expect lane closings and some delays beginning Monday morning, July 31 when MoDOT crews start placing steel plates across all four lanes of the Route 54 (Austin Street) bridge over the Missouri/North Arkansas Railroad in Nevada, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Crews will close one lane at a time from 6 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, July 31-August 2.

All lanes will be open to traffic during nighttime hours.

The one-inch steel plates are going down as a repair of the driving surface until a bridge rehabilitation project expected within the next few years.

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
