MoDOT to cut ribbon for Big Bend bridge redecking project

ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Department of Transportation will join with federal, state and local officials to celebrate the completion of the Big Bend bridge construction project with a ribbon cutting.

The ribbon cutting is set for 10 a.m. Friday, August 11 on the east side of the Big Bend Bridge. The roadway won’t open immediately after the ceremony, but is expected to open by morning rush on Wednesday, August 16.

The bridge closed on May 24 so crews could remove and replace the bridge deck as part of routine preventative maintenance.
