Work rescheduled: Paving operations continue on I-29 in Platte County

PLATTE COUNTY – Due to inclement weather, The Missouri Department of Transportation has rescheduled pavement operations work along the I-29 corridor. Originally, work was scheduled for the night of Wednesday, Aug. 9. The work will now happen tonight, Thursday, Aug. 10 to Friday, Aug. 11. Reminder: Not all of the closures will occur at the same time, but will close at some point throughout the night. All work is weather dependent.

 

Listed are locations, times and dates:

The northbound lane of I-29 to southbound I-635 from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11   ***potentially major impact to traffic***

The southbound right lane of I-29 from 152 Highway to south of Barry Rd. and the right lane at 64th St. from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11

The off-ramp from southbound I-29 to 152 Highway eastbound from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11

The on-ramp from westbound 152 Highway to southbound I-29 from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11 

The off-ramp from southbound I-29 to Barry Rd. from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11 

The on-ramp from Barry Rd. to southbound I-29 from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11 

The southbound I-29 lane to 64th St. from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11

                                                             

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
