Crews Begin Work on Route Z and Route TT Intersection On Aug. 14

LAFAYETTE COUNTY –  Crews  began an interchange project on Route Z and Route TT today near Bates City. The project will contour the surrounding area to provide more sight distance for motorists and repair the pavement. The work will last until Oct. 1. The interchange will remain open for the majority of the project, but will require a full closure in September to complete critical pavement work. Local message boards will alert drivers of impending detours. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
