JEFFERSON CITY – A pavement repair and resurfacing project on Route B in Cole, Miller and Osage counties will enter a new phase when asphalt pavement work begins Thursday, Aug. 24.
Work will take place from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24 and Friday, Aug. 25 between Wardsville and Lorenzo Green Dr. in Jefferson City. One lane will be open at all times and flaggers will direct traffic through the work area.
Night work will begin from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 28 from Jefferson City to Wardsville. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and flaggers will direct motorists through the work area.
Electronic message boards are in place near the work zones to notify the public.
Grading and concrete work in preparation for the asphalt overlay has been underway since May 22. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in November.
The project includes repairing the pavement, resurfacing and adding shoulders on Route B from south of Lorenzo Green Drive in Jefferson City to Meta.
