JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be closing the ramp from southbound MO Route 291 onto U.S. Route 24 beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23 until 6 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, for pavement repairs. In addition to this ramp closure, there will be a one lane closure on both east and westbound U.S. Route 24 to repair bumps that have appeared after paving. Motorists should find alternate routes if necessary. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
