Work Extended for U.S. Route 24 from Route 291 to MO Highway 7

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has extended its schedule for paving work along U.S. Route 24 until approximately the end of September for ADA improvements. There will continue to be various single lane closures on both eastbound and westbound U.S. 24 between Route 291 and Route 7. These lane closures will be for sidewalk and signal improvements along U.S. Route 24.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
