LEE’S SUMMIT – Due to a rain delay, the Missouri Department of Transportation will have NIGHTLY lane closures in both directions along Interstate 470 at Colbern Road beginning 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22. These lane closures are for bridge work as part of the Colbern Road Bridge project. This work was originally scheduled for Monday, Aug. 21. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes if necessary. All work is weather permitting.
- There will be a right lane closure on northbound I-470 beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22 until 5 a.m. the following morning.
- There will be a right lane closure on southbound I-470 beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
- There will be left lane closure on northbound I-470 beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
- There will be a left lane closure on southbound I-470 beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
