ST. LOUIS – Motorists traveling out of the St. Charles County and St. Louis County area this weekend should plan ahead and expect delays on Interstates 64 and 70, as well as on Route 61.
MoDOT will close one lane of westbound I-70 before Route Z in Wentzville on Friday, August 25 at 11 p.m. so crews can remove and repair a section of pavement. With only one lane open on the interstate, long delays are expected on westbound I-70. Due to its proximity to the I-64/Route 61 interchange, traffic is also expected to back up onto westbound I-64 and southbound Route 61.
All lanes are expected to be back open by Monday, August 28 at 5 a.m. All work is weather permitting. To get the latest on delays during the closure, go to http://traveler.modot.org/map/.
