MACON – Weather permitting, August 28, a slide repair project is planned to begin on Montgomery Route F at the Interstate 70 interchange at High Hill. The project will also include lighting and signing improvements.
Magruder Construction Company, of Eolia, Missouri, was awarded the contract for $1,063,870.
“There may be times when traffic is reduced to one lane on Route F, or we may need to close a ramp while this work is completed,” said Resident Engineer Rick Domzalski. Motorists are advised to watch for guidance on message boards as they approach the interchange. “We want motorists to be aware of the work going on and use caution when traveling through this area,” he added.
All roadwork is posted on the traveler information map. Those traveling and the commuting public are encouraged to check the online map at www.modot.org daily for new work zones. MoDOT also offers e-update messages sent directly to your email when roadwork is scheduled. For more information contact MoDOT's Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-888-ASK MoDOT (275-6636).
