JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have various ramp closures along Interstate 435 beginning at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 28. These closures are so that crews can place rock at the edge of pavement for the safety of drivers. To make sure we do not limit access for our customers, none of these ramps will be closed simultaneously. Read on for a list of ramp closures. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes if necessary. All work is weather permitting.
- The southbound I-435 to MO Route 24 off ramp will be closed.
- The MO Route 24 to southbound I-435 on ramp will be closed.
- The northbound I-435 to MO Route 24 off ramp will be closed.
- The MO Route 24 to northbound I-435 on ramp will be closed.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
