PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the following roadways and ramps along the I-29 corridor for paving operations work. Not all of the closures will occur at the same time, but will close at some point during the night. All work is weather dependent.
Listed are locations, times and dates:
The westbound lanes of Cookingham Dr. (Route D) leading into KCI Airport from 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30
***KCI travelers will need to detour onto southbound I-29 to 112th St. and then back onto northbound I-29 to the KCI Flyover ramp***
The right lane of eastbound Cookingham Dr. (Route D). which exits KCI Airport from 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30
The right lane of northbound and southbound I-29 will be closed at 112th St. to pave the following ramps
Off-ramp from southbound I-29 to 112th St.
On-ramp from 112th St. to southbound I-29
Off-ramp from northbound I-29 to 112th St.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
