Road Work for Mid-Missouri

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of September 4 - September 15, 2017. Scheduled maintenance activities will not take place on Monday, September 4, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.

Boone County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Missouri River Bridge and St. Charles Road – Pavement repair, guardrail repair and resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues.
      * Paving in the westbound lanes will take place the week of September 5. One westbound lane will be open through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2018.

Route Z between Liddel Lane and Gano Chance Road - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 over the Middle River, east of Route BB – Bridge rehabilitation in the westbound lanes continues. One westbound lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route 54 over Interstate 70 - Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound lanes begins the week of September 4. One eastbound lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 54 at Center Street - Roadway maintenance on the eastbound exit ramp will take place Monday, September 11 through Friday, September 15. The ramp will be closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route 63 over the Katy Trail, north of Jefferson City – Bridge deck rehabilitation is complete. Occasional lane closures are possible through the fall.

Route O over Crows Fork Creek, east of County Road 419 – Bridge is schedule to reopen Thursday, September 7. Occasional lane closures are likely afterward.

Route PP between Route 94 and Route BB - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route TT between Route 54 and County Road 484 - Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route TT between County Road 484 and County Road 496 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, September 5. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.


Camden County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route D over Bank Branch, south of Route 54 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-September.

Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Route 7 and Cecil Street – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in late September.

Daylight Hours
Route 54 between the Niangua River Bridge and Route BB in Hickory County – Resurfacing and widening to a shared four-lane roadway continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route F between Route 5 and the end of state maintenance – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route MM between Route HH and Route TT – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route TT between Route MM and Lakeview Resort Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.


Cole County
Overnight Hours
Route 54 over Route 50 – Bridge maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Sunday, September 10 through Thursday, September 14. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 50/63 between Shamrock Road and the Osage River Bridge – Resurfacing is complete. Occasional lane closures are possible in both directions the week of September 4.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Interstate 70 and Route 50 in Morgan County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route 135 between Interstate 70 and the Pettis County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route U over Petite Saline Creek – Bridge maintenance will take place Wednesday, September 6 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route M over Crooked Creek, south of Keysville Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to use signed detour routes around the work area. Project is scheduled for completion in mid-September.

Route 8 between Route 19 and Matred Lane – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route 19 between Route 8 and Route PP - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route 8 and Route VV – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P - Pavement marking will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route F between Interstate 44 and Route 19 – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Route 8 and Route YY – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 19 and Route C – Roadway resurfacing continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadway resurfacing continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route Y between Route 8 and Route V – Roadway resurfacing continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route VV between Route 19 and Route M – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 South Outer Road from Route H and Washington Boulevard in Cuba - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Dent County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 32 over Dry Valley Creek, east of County Road 4245 – Bridge replacement continues.
       * Traffic has been shifted to the temporary bypass. Minimal traffic impacts will take place. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route 32 between Route 19 and Route 63 – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Gasconade County
Daylight/Overnight Hours Route 100 over Little Berger Creek – Bridge replacement continues. The bridge is closed. Motorists are advised to use Route 19 and Route Z around the closure. The bridge is scheduled to reopen in September.

Route EE over Dry Fork Creek, north of Bem Church Road – Bridge is open to traffic. Occasional lane closures are likely for incidental work.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 at Third Street – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route A between Route 124 and Route B in Randolph County – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 12 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route H between Route 124 and County Road 202 – Roadside maintenance will take place on Tuesday, September 5. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Z between County Road 330 and County Road 335 – Roadside maintenance will take place Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Old Highway 87 between Route 87 and Manor Drive – Roadside maintenance will take place on Monday, September 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Old Outer 5 and Julie Road – Roadway maintenance will take place on Monday, September 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street – Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 between Route 63 and Route T – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 63 and Route 68 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 11 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route AA between Route 63 and Route T – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 52 over Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues. The bridge is open to traffic, but motorists will encounter narrow lanes.
       * Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures on Route 54 are possible during the work. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route 17 between Route 42 and Route 52 – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route K between Route 17 and Crossroads Drive – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 87 and Main Street – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route K between Meyer Road and Surprise Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Business 50 between Route 50 and Lookout Trail – Roadway maintenance will take place on Tuesday, September 5. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 52 between Fairground Road and West View Drive – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 between Route 5 and Route Y in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder work continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in early September.

Route E between Route C and Route CC in Moniteau County – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route O between Route 135 and Pistol Point Road– Roadway maintenance will take place on Monday, September 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route AA between Route 52 and Route C – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route BB between Route 135 and Route D – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and flagging crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area.


Osage County
Daylight/Overnight Hours Route B between Route 133 and Lorenzo Green Drive in Cole County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder addition continues.
       * Roadway resurfacing will take place the week of September 4.  One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 50 between Route 89 and Route U – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Y between Route 86 and County Road 726 – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route NN between Route 28 and County Road 735 – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route 68 and Crawford County line - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 63 between the Rolla city limits and Route CC in Texas County – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route 68 between Interstate 44 and Route 8 – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route F between Route 68 and County Road 4110 – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route J between Route K and Route M – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Tuesday, September 12. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 7 over the Gasconade River, north of Rustler Lane – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route NN between Springer Lane and Springfield Road – Box culvert installation continues. The road is closed in the work area. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in September.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route AA and the St. Francois County line – Roadway resurfacing continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route 21 between Route 8 and Route 32 - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, September 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
