Multiple Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled for I-35 Beginning Sept. 15

JACKSON COUNTY– The Missouri Department of Transportation will close multiple lanes and ramps along north and southbound Interstate 35 beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18. These closures are for drop inlet replacements. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes if necessary. All work is weather permitting.

  • There will be a right lane closure along southbound I-35 beginning at 27th Street through Jarboe Street from 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18,
  • There will be a right lane closure along northbound I-35 beginning at Jarboe Street through 25th Street from 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18.
  • There will be a ramp closure from 27th Street to northbound I-35 from 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
