FAUCETT, Mo. – The Route DD Bridge over Interstate 29 in Buchanan County at Faucett (Exit 35) has been removed and the new bridge construction has already begun. Contractors from Emery Sapp and Sons of Columbia, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation demolished the old bridge over the weekend of Aug. 26. As construction of the new bridge progresses, ramp reconstruction will begin soon.
The schedule for the ramp closures that was previously announced last week has changed. The new schedule is as follows:
- Northbound on and off ramps at exit 35 (Route DD): Sept. 18 – Oct. 1
- Southbound on and off ramps at exit 35 (Route DD): Oct. 2 – 17
During both sets of ramp closures, at least one lane each direction on I-29 will remain open for through traffic.
