Eastbound Route 60 Ramps to Route 65 CLOSED
Sunday into Monday, September 17-18 for Additional Bridge Work
Where: Eastbound Route 60 ramps to northbound and southbound Route 65 in southeast Springfield
When: 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, until 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18
What: Ramps CLOSED for a second time to allow MoDOT crews to repair an extensively damaged expansion joint in the eastbound Route 60-to-northbound Route 65 flyover ramp. During the work Sept. 10, crews found more damage than expected and were unable to complete the repairs. The work planned for Sunday, Sept. 17 into early Sept. 18, should complete all the necessary repairs to the bridge.
Traffic Impacts:
- Ramps CLOSED while crews repair the expansion joint on the eastbound-to-northbound flyover ramp
- Eastbound Route 60 will be reduced to two lanes between Glenstone Avenue and Route 65
- Eastbound Route 60 drivers are encouraged to use the Routes NN/J interchange to turn around and access Route 65 from westbound Route 60
- Eastbound Route 60 crossovers between Route 65 and Routes NN/J could be closed at times during heavy traffic
- No signed detour is planned
- All ramps will be open by morning rush hour on Monday, Sept. 18
