Route DD Ramps Closures Will Impact Outer Roads

FAUCETT, Mo. – As part of the replacement of the Route DD Bridge over Interstate 29 in Buchanan County at Faucett (Exit 35), contractors from Emery Sapp and Sons of Columbia, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will reconstruct the ramps at the interchange.

During reconstruction, the ramps will be closed. During the reconstruction and closure of the northbound ramps, access to the outer road (SE 45th Road) and Route DD on the east side of the bridge will also be closed. During the reconstruction and closure of the southbound ramps, the I-29 frontage road will be accessible from Route DD on the west side of the bridge, but not from the interstate.

The schedule for the ramp closures is as follows:

  • Northbound on and off ramps at exit 35 (Route DD): Sept. 18 – Oct. 1
  • Southbound on and off ramps at exit 35 (Route DD): Oct. 2 – 17

During both sets of ramp closures, at least one lane each direction on I-29 will remain open for through traffic.

As with all planned work, schedules are subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
