Pavement work wil cause lane/ramp closures along I-29

PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close a series of roads and ramps both nightly and daily beginning 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15 and continuing through 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17 for pavement work.

Crews will close the two right lanes of northbound I-29 from Route 210 to the I-29/I-35 split from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. both Friday and Saturday. The Route 210 on-ramp to northbound I-29 and the northbound Parvin Rd. ramps will also close, beginning 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15 and continuing through 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17.

In addition, crews will close a single right lane of northbound I-29 from Route 210 to the I-29/I-35 split from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. All work is weather dependent.

Note: Crews will complete the work in time for motorists to depart the Chiefs’ first season home opener game.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
