Road Work for Mid-Missouri

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of September 18-29, 2017. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Missouri River Bridge and St. Charles Road – Pavement repair, guardrail repair and resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues.
       * Paving in the westbound lanes will take place the week of September 18. One westbound lane will be open through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2018.

Route Z between Liddel Lane and Gano Chance Road - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 over Interstate 70 - Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound lanes is underway. One eastbound lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Daylight Hours
Route D between Route 94 and Route O - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between the Niangua River Bridge and Route BB in Hickory County – Resurfacing and widening to a shared four-lane roadway continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.

Route N between Route 54 and Bannister Hollow Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Cole County
Overnight Hours
Route 50 between Business Route 50 (Missouri Boulevard) and Eastland Drive – Roadway maintenance in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Sunday, September 17 through Thursday, September 21. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route 54 over Route 50 – Bridge maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Sunday, September 17 through Thursday, September 21. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route 54 over McCarty Street – Bridge maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Sunday, September 17 through Thursday, September 21. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route 54 over the Katy Trail, east of Route 94 – Bridge maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Sunday, September 17 through Thursday, September 21. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route 54 over Vetter Lane – Bridge maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Sunday, September 17 through Thursday, September 21. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route B between Lorenzo Green Drive and Route 133 in Osage County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder addition continues.
       *One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Interstate 70 and Route 50 in Morgan County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route D between Route 87 and Route O in Moniteau County – Roadway resurfacing will begin on Monday, September 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in Mid-October.

Route U over Petite Saline Creek, south of Debo Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, September 25 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route O between Route J and Route 87 in Moniteau County – Roadway resurfacing, guard rail installation and pedestrian improvements will begin on Monday, September 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in Mid-October.


Crawford County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route M over Crooked Creek, south of Keysville Road – Bridge replacement is nearing completion. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to use signed detour routes around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-September.

Route 8 between Route 19 and Matred Lane – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route 8 between Route 19 and the Washington County line – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route 8 and Route 49 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday,September 18 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route 8 and Route PP - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P - Pavement marking will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Frontage Road and Gerth Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21.  One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Route 8 and Route YY – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 19 and Route C – Roadway resurfacing continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadway resurfacing continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route Y between Route 8 and Route V – Roadway resurfacing continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.


Dent County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 32 over Dry Valley Creek, east of County Road 4245 – Bridge replacement continues.
       * Traffic has been shifted to the temporary bypass. Minimal traffic impacts will take place. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route 32 between Route 19 and Route 63 in Texas County – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Gasconade County
Daylight Hours
Route NN between Route 28 and Wurtz Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 at Third Street – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route A between Route 124 and Route B in Randolph County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 and Tuesday, September 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route A between Route 124 and Route CC – Roadside maintenance will take place on Wednesday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route H between Route 124 and Route B in Randolph County – Roadside maintenance will take place on Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route O between Route A and Route H – Roadside maintenance will take place on Wednesday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street – Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area. Work is scheduled to be complete on November 1.

Route AC between Route K and Route N – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 between Route 63 and Route T – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 63 and Route 68 – Roadway maintenance will take place on Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 52 over Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues. The bridge is open to traffic, but motorists will encounter narrow lanes.
       * Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures on Route 54 are possible during the work. The project is scheduled for completion in late September.

Route 17 between Route 42 and Route KK – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route B between Route 133 in Osage County and Lorenzo Green Drive in Cole County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder addition continues.
       *One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route K between Route 17 and Crossroads Drive – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Pin Oak Road and Porter Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 25 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 87 and Main Street – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route D between Route O and Route 87 in Cooper County – Roadway resurfacing will begin on Monday, September 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in Mid-October.

Route O between Route 87 and Route J in Cooper County – Roadway resurfacing, guard rail installation and pedestrian improvements will begin on Monday, September 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in Mid-October.

Route Z between Route 5 and Route D in Morgan County – Roadway resurfacing will begin on Monday, September 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 50 and Interstate 70 in Cooper County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route 52 between Fairground Road and West View Drive – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 between Route 5 and Route Y in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder work is complete. Occasional lane closures are possible.

Route O between Route 5 and Pistol Point Road– Roadway resurfacing will begin on Monday, September 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 5 and Morgan Hills Road – Roadway resurfacing will begin on Monday, September 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route BB between Route 135 and Route D – Roadway resurfacing is completed. Occasional lane closures are possible through October 1.

Osage County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route B between Route 133 and Lorenzo Green Drive in Cole County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder addition continues.
       *One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Y between Route 89 and County Road 727 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Y between Route 89 and County Road 727 - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight
Route 68 between Interstate 44 and Route 8 – Pedestrian improvements continue.
       *Resurfacing on Route 68 will begin the week of September 17. One lane will be open, with crews and a pilot car guiding traffic through the work area.  The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route 63 between the Rolla city limits and Route CC in Texas County – Roadway resurfacing
continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route E between Route Y and end of state maintenance – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 7 over the Gasconade River, north of Rustler Lane – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion on October 1.

Route 17 between Interstate 44 and Route AB – Roadway maintenance will take place on Monday, September 18 and Tuesday, September 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 133 between Interstate 44 and Route 17 – Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, September 20 through Thursday, September 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Washington County
Daylight/Overnight
Route 8 between Route AA and the St. Francois County line – Roadway resurfacing continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late September.

Route 21 between Route 8 and Route 32 in Iron County - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, September 18 through Thursday, September 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 185 between Route 8 and Route K in Franklin County - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life is underway. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
