Guardrail Work Will Close Ramps on Interstate 29

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Guardrail work will require the closure of two interstate ramps next week. Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close two ramps at the Interstate 29, Interstate 229 and U.S. Route 71 interchange north of St. Joseph next week for nighttime work.

  • Tuesday night, Sept. 19: Ramp from I-29 southbound to U.S. Route 71 northbound (Exit 54A), 7 to 11:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday night, Sept. 20: Ramp from I-229 NB to I-29 NB (Exit 14B), 7 pm to midnight

All scheduled work is weather permitting and subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
