Ingram Mill Road CLOSED at Night South of Chestnut Expressway Sept. 19 & 20
Ingram Mill Road CLOSED south of Chestnut Expressway Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Sept. 19 & 20, for utility work.
Where: Ingram Mill Road south of Chestnut Expressway in Springfield
What: Ingram Mill Road CLOSED during nighttime hours to allow utility crews to install electrical conduit for street lighting and a traffic signal
When: 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 19-20
TRAFFIC IMPACTS:
- Ingram Mill Road closed at Chestnut Expressway
- Ingram Mill Road OPEN during daytime hours
- Business entrances will remain open. However, drivers will have to access them via Cherry Street.
- No signed detour planned
Project Facts:
- Build new roads on either side of Chestnut Expressway to provide access to area businesses
- Build a bridge on Chestnut Expressway over the railroad tracks west of Chestnut Expressway
- Install a new traffic signal at Ingram Mill Road and Chestnut Expressway
- Total project cost estimate: $14.8 million
- Completion: Late November 2017
- Partnership project: city of Springfield, Greene County, Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad, MoDOT
