Platte River Bridge Now Open

SHERIDAN, Mo. – The bridge over the Platte River on Route 246 was reopened just after noon today. The bridge, located just east of Sheridan, had been closed earlier this year for a bridge replacement project. Contractors from Emery Sapp and Sons, Inc. of Columbia, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, demolished the old bridge and built a new bridge in its place.

Crews may still be on the site working off the road surface, so motorists should still exercise caution when driving through the area.
