CLAY COUNTY– The Missouri Department of Transportation has CANCELED its plans to have multiple lane closures along U.S. 69 beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19. These lane closures were originally scheduled for pavement repairs. The original work schedule was as follows:
- CANCELED: The left lane of southbound U.S. 69 and the right lane of northbound U.S. 69 at Palmer will be CLOSED NIGHTLY from 7:30 p.m. through 4:30 a.m. between Tuesday, Sept. 19 and Thursday, Sept. 21.
- CANCELED: The right lane of southbound U.S. 69 at Hardesty Ave. will be CLOSED NIGHTLY from 7:30 p.m. through 4:30 a.m. between Tuesday, Sept. 19 and Thursday, Sept. 21.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
