JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting NIGHTLY CLOSURES of both north and southbound Route 291 at Colbern Road beginning on Monday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. for bridge work. Motorists MUST exit Route 291 at Colbern Road and find an alternate route. All work is weather permitting.
- Southbound Route 291 will be closed at Colbern Road on both Monday, Oct. 2, and Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings.
- Northbound Route 291 will be closed at Colbern Road on both Wednesday, Oct. 4, and Thursday, Oct. 5, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings.
- Beginning at 5 a.m. on each morning of the closures, the routes will open up to just single lane closures until crews complete the work.
