MOUND CITY, Mo. – Pavement repairs will require the closure of one lane of Interstate 29 through portions of Holt County next week. Contractor crews from Chester Bross Construction Company, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will work between Routes W and 118 to repair portions of the pavement in anticipation of a resurfacing project in that same area. Crews plan to begin Monday, Oct. 2 and should have all pavement repairs completed by the first part of November.
After they complete pavement repairs in Holt County, they will move to a stretch of I-29 in Atchison County between the Iowa state line and Route 111.
Resurfacing on both sections is planned for the 2018 construction season.
All scheduled roadwork is weather permitting and subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
