Work to Close One Lane on Westbound Route 50

Maintenance work will close one westbound lane of U.S. Route 50 in Cole County next week. The work, known as “conlift,” consists of raising low spots in the pavement surface and making those spots even with the rest of the roadway.

The work will take place between Route U and Lookout Trail from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2 through Thursday, Oct. 5. Message boards will be in place to warn motorists of the lane closure.
