Learn More About Upcoming Bridge Projects

Public Invited to Share Comments Online

LUCERNE, Mo. – Plans are underway to replace two bridges on U.S. Route 136 between Lucerne and Unionville. The Missouri Department of Transportation would like to hear your comments and concerns about the planned bridge replacement projects. An online informational meeting has been set up to provide the public with information about both projects and to receive comments. The information on the site is subject to change, but is the most current information at this time.

Both the Elm Branch Bridge and the West Fork Locust Creek Bridge were built in 1931. During the project, the bridges will be closed for approximately four months.

To participate in the online meeting, visit http://www.modot.org/northwest/major_projects/136Bridge/. Comments will be taken through the website, by mail or in person at 3602 North Belt Highway, St. Joseph, Mo. 64506, or by phone at 888 ASK MoDOT (888-275-6636) through Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017.
