HANNIBAL - The Route H bridge replacement over the Cuivre River in Lincoln County is behind schedule and not expected to be completed until mid November. According to the engineer overseeing the project, the contractor will be assessed monetary damages due to the delay. "Provisions are typically added to contracts to provide disincentives when a project is not completed on time," said Missouri Department of Transportation Resident Engineer Rick Domzalski. "We understand closing a bridge is inconvenient and try to do what we can to minimize the inconvenience," he added.
