Motorists should be prepared for additional evening lane and ramp closures on Interstate 70 as part of the ongoing project to improve the interstate between the Missouri River Bridge at Rocheport and the Lake of the Woods exit in east Columbia. The following ramps are scheduled for closure:
- The eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps at I-70 and Missouri Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) will be closed Monday Oct. 9 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- The eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps at I-70 and U.S. Route 40 will be closed Tuesday Oct. 10 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- The eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps at I-70 and Boone County Routes O/J will be closed Wednesday Oct. 11 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
No more than two ramps will be closed at one time during the work. These schedules are subject to change based on weather and the contractor’s progress. The work is part of a project to repair pavement, replace and repair guardrail and resurface the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70. The entire project is scheduled for completion in April 2018.
