KANSAS CITY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has rescheduled its work to CLOSE the two left lanes along westbound Interstate 70 at Paseo Blvd. between Troost Avenue and Woodland Avenue. This work is now beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10, until 1 p.m. that afternoon. The lane closure is for bridge repairs. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and if necessary, find an alternate route. All work is weather permitting. This work was originally scheduled to begin on Monday, Oct. 9.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
