Road Work for Mid-Missouri

October 16 - October 27, 2017

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of October 16-27, 2017. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Missouri River Bridge and St. Charles Road – Pavement repair, guardrail repair and resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues.
       *The eastbound entrance ramp at Business Loop 70 will be closed on Monday, October 16.
       *Eastbound entrance and exit ramps at Route 163 (Providence Road) and Route 763 (Rangeline Street) will be closed on Tuesday, October 17.
       *The eastbound and westbound exit ramps at the Route 63 Connector will be closed on Wednesday, October 18.  
       *The westbound entrance ramp at Business Loop 70 will be closed on Wednesday, October 18.
All ramp closures will take place from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., with the exception of the closures at the Route 63 Connector, which will take place from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2018.

Route 63 over Gans Creek, south of Discovery Parkway -
Bridge maintenance in the southbound lanes will take place on Tuesday, October 17. One lane will be open through the work area.

Route 63 over Bonne Femme Creek, south of Ponderosa Street - Bridge maintenance in the southbound lane will take place on Tuesday, October 17. One lane will be open through the work area.

Route 163 (Providence Road) over Hinkson Creek, south of Mick Deaver Drive – Bridge maintenance in the northbound lanes will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One northbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route B between Business Loop 70 and Brown Station Road – Pavement repair and resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route M between Route 63 and River Road - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 over Interstate 70 -
Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 54 over Richland Creek, west of County Road 210 - Bridge rehabilitation in the westbound lanes continues. One westbound lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Center Street and the Missouri River –
Guard cable installation is underway. One westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Daylight Hours
Route 54 at Center Street –
Maintenance on the eastbound entrance ramp will take place on Monday, October 16. The ramp will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Route 54 between Route TT and Holts Summit City limits – Roadway maintenance will take place in the westbound lanes Wednesday, October 18 and Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 54 between Route NN and Holts Summit City limits – Roadway maintenance will take place in the eastbound lanes Wednesday, October 18 and Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route UU between Route O and Route JJ – Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, October 23 through Thursday, October 26. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 70 north outer road between Route JJ and Route 54 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 70 north outer road between Route JJ and Route 54 – Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place on Monday, October 23 through Thursday, October 26. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Karen Street between Route AA and Thompson Street - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place on Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between the Niangua River Bridge and Route BB in Hickory County
Resurfacing and widening to a shared four-lane roadway continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.


Cole County
Overnight Hours
Route B between Lorenzo Green Drive and Route 133 in Osage County
Roadway resurfacing and shoulder addition continues.
     *Paving work between Wardsville and Meta is scheduled to take place the week of October 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Interstate 70 and Route 50 in Morgan County –
Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening is complete. Striping will take place October 13 and 14. Occasional temporary lane closures are possible in the work area.

Route 135 between Route N and Bock Street - Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, October 17 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route U over Petite Saline Creek, south of Debo Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route 19 and Meramec Farms Road
Roadway resurfacing continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-October.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P - Pavement marking will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route 8 and Route 49 - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Route 8 and Route YY – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Route 8 and end of state maintenance - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route AA between Route 8 and New Home Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route ZZ from Route F to Washington Boulevard – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 South Outer Road between Route H and Washington Boulevard – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Dent County

Route 32 between Route 19 and Route 63 in Texas County
Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 32 Between Route C and Route F – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 240 between Route 5 and Route 40 –
Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, October 18 and Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.Route A between Route 124 and County Road 130 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street –
Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area. Work is scheduled to be complete on November 1.

Route N between Route 32 and Route T – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 and Tuesday, October 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route W between Route A and Elm Street – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 and Tuesday, October 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route FF over Bear Creek, east of James Road – Concrete culvert repair will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 between Route 63 and Route A in Miller County –
A culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Miller County

Route 52 over Route 54
Bridge painting continues.
       * Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures on Route 54 are possible during the work.

Route 17 between Route C and Route 42 –
Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 17 Bridge over Saline Creek – Roadway maintenance will take place on Wednesday, October 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 42 between Route 17 and Route U – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 54 between Route V and Copperhead Road– One westbound and one eastbound lane will be closed Tuesday, October 17 through Thursday, October 19, for traffic study. One westbound and one eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route B between Route 133 in Osage County and Lorenzo Green Drive in Cole County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder addition continues.
     *Paving work between Wardsville and Meta is scheduled to take place the week of October 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route K between Route 17 and Crossroads Drive – Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route HH between Route 5 and Route E
Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Osage County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route B between Route 133 and Lorenzo Green Drive in Cole County
Roadway resurfacing and shoulder addition continues.
       *Paving work between Wardsville and Meta is scheduled to take place the week of October 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route N between Route J and Route 100 in Gasconade County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 68 between Interstate 44 and Route 8
Pedestrian improvements and resurfacing continues.
       *Rumble strip installation and striping will take place the week of October 16. One lane will be open, with crews and a pilot car guiding traffic through the work area.  The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Daylight Hours
Route 63 between the Rolla city limits and Route CC in Texas County
Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route J between Route K and Route P – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route F south of Business Loop 44 –
A culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, October 16. The road will be closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

Daylight Hours
Route 17 between Red Oak Road and Rocky Mount Lane –
Roadside repairs are continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion on November 1.


Washington County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 8 between Route AA and the St. Francois County line
Roadway resurfacing continues.
       * Rumble strip installation and roadway striping are planned for the week of October 16. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in 2018.

Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
