Route 125/I-44 Traffic Signal/Sidewalk Project

In Strafford to Begin Week of October 23

Strafford, Greene County – Drivers can expect lane closings and crews and equipment close to traffic on Route 125 at I-44 in Strafford starting the week of October 23, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will install a new traffic signal on the south side of the Route 125/I-44 interchange where the eastbound I-44 ramps intersect Route 125. Crews also will install sidewalks in areas at the interchange to help pedestrians safely travel along Route 125 to either side of I-44.

New concrete islands also will be built in various locations at the interchange.

The project is a partnership between the city of Strafford and MoDOT.

Branco Enterprises, Inc. of Neosho is the prime contractor on the project.

The total project cost is $342,000.

The work is scheduled to be completed by mid-December 2017.

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
