MACON – Cuivre River Bridge located on Missouri Route 161 in Montgomery County, near Middletown, is now back open to traffic after being closed for replacement.
The new bridge is 204 feet long and 24 feet wide, which is 61 feet longer and 3 feet wider than the old bridge, and is striped as two lanes. There also has been curve widening improvements made to improve safety.
Don Schnieders Excavating Company of Jefferson City was the contractor that completed the project.
