MACON – Claybank Creek bridge located on Macon County Route C, 2.5 miles south of Bevier, is expected to open by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, after being closed for replacement.
The new bridge will be 24 feet wide, which is 4 feet wider than the old bridge, and will be striped as two lanes. There also have been curve widening improvements made to the south of the bridge to improve safety.
Chester Bross Construction Company of Palmyra was the contractor that completed the project.
