Work to replace the Route 54 Outer road bridge over Linn Creek in Linn Creek’s industrial area in Camden County will begin next week. Culvert work to improve drainage will also take place. Work to extend a box culvert on Business Park Road north of the Linn Creek Post Office will begin on Monday, Oct. 30. Commercial vehicle traffic on the eastbound outer road will be detoured to Lower Business Park Road as a result of the work, which is scheduled for completion on Dec. 1.
Replacement of the bridge will take place in stages beginning in mid-November. The first phase will involve building a portion of the new bridge south of the existing bridge and will not impact traffic. Both lanes of the outer road will remain open.
