Missouri Route 168 Overpass Bridge Now Open to Traffic

All Lanes of U.S. Route 61 Open in Palmyra

HANNIBAL – The Missouri Route 168 overpass bridge located over U.S. Route 61, in Palmyra, is now open to traffic, after being closed for replacement. The new northbound U.S. Route 61 acceleration lane has also been completed and is open to traffic.

U.S. Route 61 now has all four lanes of traffic open in Marion County. Some work will continue around the overpass, but the overpass bridge will remain open as well as all four lanes of U.S. Route 61.

Lehman Construction built the new bridge and the new northbound U.S. Route 61 acceleration lane.

MoDOT and the contractor thank area residents for their patience during construction and encourage all motorists to continue to practice safe driving practices including always wearing seat belts and putting down the phone while driving.
