Contracts Awarded for Bridge Repairs

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded contracts to repair bridges in Maries and Osage counties.

Mera Excavating was awarded a contract to perform scour repairs to the Gasconade River Bridge on U.S. Route 63 in Maries County after submitting the low bid of $224,074. Mera was also awarded a contract for similar work on the Gasconade River Bridge on Route 42, with a low bid of $210,738.

Meanwhile, the commission awarded a contract to Boone Construction to conduct scour repairs on the Missouri Route 89 bridge over the Gasconade River in Osage County. The low bid on that project was $204,771.

The work will involve placing fill around the bridge piers where the river flow has caused erosion to occur. The work will take place under the bridges and will not impact traffic.
