Highways and Transportation Commission Awards Improvement Projects in Multiple Counties

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded contracts for improvement projects on three mid-Missouri roads.

Capital Paving and Construction was awarded a contract to resurface and improve shoulders in the following areas:

  • U.S. Route 40 from Missouri Route 5 in Howard County to Boone County Route UU. The low bid for the contract was $4.1 million.
  • Route 42 between Route 17 in Miller County and U.S. Route 63 in Maries County. The low bid for the contract was $3.7 million.
  • Route 17 between Route 54 in Cole County and Route 52 in Miller County. The low bid for the contract was $2.4 million.

Work on each project will take place in the summer of 2018. Occasional temporary lane and entrance closures are possible in the work areas.
