Mississippi County Route D Closed for Bridge Repairs

Route D in Mississippi County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform bridge repairs.

The bridge is located between County Road 333 and County Road 324 near Henson and Samos, Mo.

During a routine inspection of the bridge, issues with rust deterioration were noted on the girders.

“MoDOT values safety, and closing the bridge while repairs are completed ensures travelers are not at risk,” said Area Engineer David Wyman. “As long as the weather allows, we believe repairs can be completed before Thanksgiving.”

The bridge will close Tuesday, Nov. 7, with completion anticipated Wednesday, Nov. 22, weather permitting.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes and to use caution when traveling in the area.
