LEE’S SUMMIT – The Missouri Department of Transportation will CLOSE eastbound and westbound Colbern Road from NE Rice Road to NE Town Center Drive beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 until approximately 6:30 p.m. This closure is for pavement striping along Colbern Road. Motorists MUST find alternate routes. There will be no signed detour. All work is weather permitting.
- Off ramps to Colbern Road from northbound MO Route 291 and westbound I-470 will be CLOSED during this time period.
- Northbound and southbound Independence Avenue at Colbern Road will also be CLOSED during this time period.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
