SCHEDULE CHANGED: Crews Will CLOSE Rte 291 at Colbern Rd. and I-470 Beginning Nov. 13

LEE’S SUMMIT – The Missouri Department of Transportation will CLOSE MO Route 291 at Colbern Road and westbound I-470 beginning on Monday, Nov. 13, at 10 p.m. Read on for a full schedule. This work was originally scheduled to begin on Thursday, Nov. 15 but has been rescheduled. These nightly closures are for bridge work. There will be no posted detour. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and must find alternate routes. All work is weather permitting.

  • Northbound Route 291 will be CLOSED at Colbern Road beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Southbound Route 291 will be CLOSED at westbound I-470 beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, until 5 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
