Asphalt Striping to Close I-70 Ramps

Weather permitting, contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin striping ramps along Interstate 70 in Columbia on Tuesday, Nov. 28 and Wednesday, Nov. 29.

On Tuesday, crews will begin at the eastbound Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) entrance ramp to I-70, with closures taking place through the night at the Route 163 (Providence Road) and Route 763 (Rangeline Street) ramps and auxiliary lane, and the westbound I-70 exit ramp to the U.S. Route 63 Connector. On Wednesday, work will take place on the westbound Rangeline/Providence ramps and auxiliary lane, and the eastbound I-70 exit ramp to the Route 63 Connector. Other ramps will be striped throughout the corridor next week during the overnight hours,  but they will not require closures to complete the work.

All ramp closures will take place from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., unless otherwise noted. These schedules are subject to change based on weather and the contractor’s progress. The work is part of a project to repair pavement, replace and repair guardrail and resurface the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70. The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
