The Missouri Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration are pleased to announce the availability of the Draft Individual Section 4(f) Evaluation for the Stouts Creek Bridge (H0393), Granite Walls adjacent to Route 72, Lower Road, Upper Road and Trail of Tears, Iron County, Route 72, MoDOT Job Number J9P3058. The Draft Section 4(f) Evaluation will be available for public review on December 1, 2017. The Draft Section 4(f) Evaluation was prepared in accordance with the U. S. Department of Transportation Act (23 CFR 771) to provide guidance in determining the appropriate actions needed to address the need of providing a safe, reliable and efficient crossing of Stouts Creek that will minimize disruption to the public and reduce off-tracking of large vehicles.
Public Review: Public involvement is considered to be an important component of a successful planning process. An electronic version of this document can be found on MoDOT’s website at http://www.modot.org/southeast/projects/counties/Iron.htm. This site provides access to the Draft Section 4(f) Evaluation and related documents on public review.
