Right Lane Closures Scheduled for Portion of I-49 in Both Directions Beginning Dec. 5

JACKSON AND CASS COUNTIES – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have a right lane closure along northbound and southbound Interstate 49 between Route Y/163rd Street  and Route 150 on both Tuesday, Dec. 5, and Wednesday, Dec. 6. For a full schedule, please read on. This lane closure is for bridge work and is part of the 155th Street interchange project. All work is weather permitting.

  • Southbound I-49 will have a right lane closure on both Tuesday, Dec. 5, and Wednesday, Dec. 6, between Route 150 and Route Y/163rd Street from 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day.
  • Northbound I-49 will have a right lane closure on both Tuesday, Dec. 5, and Wednesday, Dec. 6, between Route Y/163rd Street and Route 150 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
