What: Chestnut Expressway OPEN after work to pour concrete and then let it cure properly for north 1/3 of new railroad bridge
When: 5:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4
TRAFFIC IMPACTS:
- Chestnut Expressway OPEN to all traffic at bridge
Project Facts:
- Build new roads on either side of Chestnut Expressway to provide access to area businesses
- Build a bridge on Chestnut Expressway over the railroad tracks west of Chestnut Expressway
- Install a new traffic signal at Ingram Mill Road and Chestnut Expressway
- Total project cost estimate: $14.8 million
- Completion: Late December 2017
- Partnership project: city of Springfield, Greene County, Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad, MoDOT
