Chestnut Expressway OPEN between Ingram Mill Road and Belcrest Avenue. Where: Chestnut Expressway at new railroad bridge between Ingram Mill Road and Belcrest Avenue west of Route 65 in Springfield 

What: Chestnut Expressway OPEN after work to pour concrete and then let it cure properly for north 1/3 of new railroad bridge 

When:  5:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4 

TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

  • Chestnut Expressway OPEN  to all traffic at bridge 

Project Facts:

  • Build new roads on either side of Chestnut Expressway to provide access to area businesses
  • Build a bridge on Chestnut Expressway over the railroad tracks west of Chestnut Expressway
  • Install a new traffic signal at Ingram Mill Road and Chestnut Expressway
  • Total project cost estimate: $14.8 million
  • Completion: Late December 2017
  • Partnership project: city of Springfield, Greene County, Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad, MoDOT
