KCMO Will Conduct Roundabout Work Near I-435 and 87th Street Beginning Dec. 14

KANSAS CITY – The City of Kansas City, MO will be conducting street maintenance on a roundabout on the east side of northbound Interstate 435 near 87th Street beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, until approximately 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17.  Motorists wishing to take northbound I-435 onto westbound 87th Street MUST follow the posted detour and go up to East Gregory Blvd. and travel back south onto I-435. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
