Route 76/Bull Shoals Lake Bridge Project ? Forsyth Area

Update for Weeks of January 1 and 8
  • Extreme cold temperatures slowing concrete pouring for bridge columns 

Work Scheduled:  

  • Building bridge columns in Bull Shoals Lake west of the existing bridge
  • Grading work for relocated Baker Street on south side of bridge
  • Relocating utility line along relocated Baker Street 

Traffic Impacts:  

  • One-lane traffic at times on Route 76 at Bull Shoals Lake. Work hours: between morning and evening rush hours. Flaggers directing drivers through work zone.
  • Baker Street CLOSED on south side of bridge
  • Boat traffic restricted underneath bridge in various locations
  • Boaters urged to use caution around work barges in lake
  • Camera view of project 

(Weather or construction delays could alter the work schedule.) 

Project Summary:

  • Replace Bull Shoals Lake bridge with a new bridge west of the existing bridge
  • Build new connecting roadway to new bridge to Route 76 at end of bridge project. Work will require up to a two week closing of Route 76 at the new bridge.
  • Completion Date: Fall 2018
  • Total Project Cost: $10.4 million
